Happy Sunny Wednesday, Beautiful Friends! Here’s a Green Smoothie To Help With Detox.

You may wonder why detoxing is so important. Well, this can get complicated, but I don’t like to muddy the waters. Think of it this way. Everything we put both on and in our body has to be filtered by the liver and the kidneys. Just think about what health & beauty items you use on a regular basis and what food & drinks you consume. Yep! It can be overwhelming when we think about this. But, the good news is we have tools to help us keep our liver and kidneys in shape. The safest way to detox the body gently is taking in God-Made foods. Lots of veggies, some fruits and lots of H2O.

I put all of my ingredients into my Vitamix. If you don’t have a Vitamix I would suggest adding ingredients slowly to make sure you get things well-blended. Some people don’t like to chew their smoothies. 😉

 

2 very large handfuls of any leafy greens you have. I used 3 stemmed Kale leaves, some Arugula and Spinach.

1 cup Filtered Water

1 peeled & seeded Lemon

1 peeled Lime

1 peeled & seeded Orange 

1 small frozen Banana 

1 small cored Apple

1 cup frozen Pineapple 

2 Tbsp ground Flaxseeds
